DMK alliance parties stage protest against SIR in Virudhunagar

Cadres of INDIA constituent parties of the ruling DMK staged a demonstration here opposing the implementation of Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Virudhunagar on Tuesday.

As part of the state-wide programme, the cadres raised slogans against SIR implementation.

MLAs A.R.R. Sreenivasan (Virudhunagar), S. Thangapandian (Rajapalayam) and A.R.R. Raghuraman (Sattur), took part in the agitation. The protesters wanted to carry out SIR after the Assembly election in Tamil Nadu.
