The Service Doctors and Post Graduates Association (SDPGA) has submitted a representation to the Health Secretary requesting that promotion counselling for the posts of associate professor to professor be conducted for the 2025 panel.
SDPGA’s president P. Saminathan said that they were expecting notifications for promotion counselling of professors (2025 panel) and transfers-cum-promotion counselling for associate professors (2024 panel) but the Directorate of Medical Education and Research has issued notification for intra and inter-directorate transfer counselling for assistant professors and service post graduates.
The association requested the Health Secretary to schedule the counsellings, starting with promotion counselling for the 2025-panel of associate professors to professors, followed by transfer counselling for associate professors, and promotions of assistant professors to associate professors (2024 and 2025 panels). Next, the intra-directorate transfer counselling for assistant professors and inter-directorate/service post graduates counselling by CML/service seniority can be held.
