An oil tanker driver was burnt alive when his vehicle hit another truck at Penchikalapadu village of Bestavaaripeta mandal in Prakasam district, on Monday evening.
According to police officials, Adi Seshaiah, a truck driver coming from Anantapur, hit the tanker containing hazardous oil at Penchikalapadu around 4:30 p.m.. The tanker’s cabin was totally burnt and the driver died on the spot.
The deceased was identified as Durga Rao (41) from Rajahmundry. Bestavaaripeta police registered a case under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) for causing death by rash or negligent act against Adi Seshaiah.Â
