DU to conduct literary festival in February

Delhi University will conduct its own literary festival from February 12 to February 14, the university said in a statement. The festival will be on the theme of patriotism.

Previously, the university hosted festivals organised by others, but this will be the first independently run event.

In a meeting, Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh said that such events should be organised with “national interest” in mind. “Nothing that is against social harmony should be included in the event. Material that hurts people’s sentiments and creates divisions should not be part of the event,” the university said.
