An e-hundi (electronic donation box) introduced by Canara Bank at the Kadri Manjunatha Temple was inaugurated on Wednesday.

The bank set it up using its corporate social responsibility funds, a release from the bank said.

Speaking on the occasion, Canara Bank executive director Bhavendra Kumar said that the bank had undertaken various development and social welfare initiatives in Mangaluru from where it originated.

He said that the e-hundi was introduced at Kadri temple for devotees. “I urge all devotees to make use of this facility,” he said.

Shambu Lal, Chief General Manager of the bank in Bengaluru , Manjunath B. Singai, general manager of the bank, Mangalore Circle, were present on the occasion.
