An Emirates flight from Dubai to Hyderabad landed safely on Friday morning (December 5, 2025) after airport authorities in Hyderabad received a bomb threat via email.
According to officials, a threat message was sent to the Hyderabad airport’s customer support ID at around 7.30 a.m., warning of an explosive device on flight EK526 operating from Dubai to Hyderabad. The aircraft touched down at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at 8.30 a.m., where standard safety protocols were immediately activated.
Security teams conducted thorough checks following the landing, and the threat was later declared a hoax. A case has been registered by the RGIA police, who have begun an investigation to identify the origin and sender of the email.
This is the third such incident reported this week. On December 4, an IndiGo flight from Medina to Hyderabad was diverted to Ahmedabad following a bomb threat, while on December 2 another IndiGo service from Kuwait to Hyderabad was rerouted to Mumbai after receiving a similar warning.
The incident comes at a time when airlines across India are already dealing with operational disruptions, including delays and cancellations triggered by staff shortages.
