The Kencharlahalli police on Sunday arrested a 35-year-old farmer for allegedly pushing his uncle to death during a scuffle over a property dispute at Gurrampalli  village in Chintamani taluk on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as K.L. Narayanaswamy, a farmer. The accused, his nephew Madhusudan, is also a resident of the same village.

According to the police, the two lived as neighbours and had frequent disputes over ancestral property.
