Adapa Lakshmi, a coffee farmer from Nittamamidipalem village, Jarrela panchayat of Gudem Kothaveedhi mandal in Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) district, has received the ‘Best Coffee Farmer Award’ from the Muppavarapu Foundation and ‘Rythu Nestham,’ an agriculture magazine. The honour recognises Adapa Lakshmi’s contribution to promoting the best practices in organic cultivation in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The award was presented to Ms. Lakshmi by former vice president Muppavarapu Venkaiah Naidu and Telangana Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageshwara Rao at a programme organised under the auspices of Swarna Bharati Trust in Hyderabad on Sunday.
