The district administration has urged voters to submit the enumeration forms distributed under the on-going Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls to the booth-level officers (BLOs) at the earliest.
“Voters who have not submitted the forms yet for want of information about theirs or relatives’ previous SIR data can just fill in their basic details, sign, and submit the forms,” Collector V. Saravanan said in a statement.
The district administration has set up help desks for each of the Assembly constituencies in the district to help BLOs match the data provided by voters in the enumeration forms with the previous SIR and upload the same, he said and urged the electors to submit the filled-in forms without any delay.
The enumeration is set to be completed by December 4. The names of all those who had submitted the filled-in enumeration forms would be included in the draft electoral rolls, the district authorities have reiterated.
At present, work is simultaneously apace on digitising the data of the such voters. So far, the data of over 18,02,100 voters have been matched and uploaded in the exclusive app provided to the BLOs, according to the district authorities.
Forty-five zonal officers and four additional supervisors have been nominated to expedite the uploading process in the nine Assembly constituencies, especially with a focus on areas where the process has been slow.
As many as 23,13,892 voters out of 23,68,967 voters in the district have been distributed the enumeration forms as on November 27, the authorities said.
