On receipt of information, police personnel from Chindatripet and personnel of Fire and Rescue services reached the spot and brought the fire under control with the help of residents and shopkeepers in the area.

A fire broke out at one of the huts located on Ritchie Street in Chintadripet on Tuesday. No one was injured in the incident and the fire was quickly put out by the residents and personnel of Fire and Rescue services.
According to police sources, the fire erupted from one of the huts which was locked at around 8.30 pm near Jai Complex which is a crowded area. The inmates had left home after locking it. The fire broke out from sparks from electric short-circuits.
