Former convener of INTACH Vizag dies

P V Prasad, former convenor of INTACH Visakhapatnam Chapter, passed away on November 8 at his home in the city, following a heart attack. He was 74 years old.

He is survived by his wife and son. A passionate advocate for heritage and history of Visakhapatnam. He dedicated his life in preserving and promoting the city’s cultural legacy. As convenor of the INTACH Visakhapatnam Chapter he built a strong rapport with stakeholders at the city, State, and national levels.

He was instrumental in raising heritage awareness among students, actively engaging schools and colleges to foster appreciation for Visakhapatnam’s rich past. His enthusiasm, commitment and leadership left a lasting impact on the chapter and the community at large.

In keeping with his values of service, Prasad’s body was donated to King George Hospital (KGH) for the use of medical students. His vision and contributions will continue to inspire future generation, according to a statement issued by INTACH Visakhapatnam chapter.
