A former teacher was found murdered near here on Saturday.
Police said Suthanthira Kumar, 43, of Kazhugumalai, who was working as a teacher in a school in Tirupur, resigned the job and was preparing for competitive examinations after his wife reportedly left him a few years ago.
Suthanthira Kumar, who went for walk along Kazhugumalai – Pazhankottai Road on Friday night, did not return home.
Against this backdrop, his body with cut injuries was found near Kamatchipuram irrigation tank on Saturday.
The Kuruvikulam police sent the body to Tirunelveli Medical College Hospital for post-mortem and have registered a case.
