As many as four people died and another got injured in a fire at a residential place in Sangam Vihar on Saturday (November 29, 2025) evening. The police and fire services reached the spot.
The Delhi Fire Services said a call was received at around 6:24 p.m. about a four storied building which had a footwear shop on the ground floor, being engulfed in fire. Around four fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and the fire was doused by 7:55 p.m.
As per police, the owner of the house, Satender, 38, was one of the deceased. His sister, Anita, 40, was shifted to Safdarjung hospital initially but she succumbed to her injuries. Two of the deceased are yet to be identified. Another person, Mamta, 40, was taken to the hospital and had 25% burns.
“Crime and forensics teams have been called for detailed examination. Further investigation is underway,” the police said.
