Four held for assaulting two over vehicle collision

The K.K. Nagar police arrested four men for assaulting two individuals following a quarrel that broke out after their two-wheelers collided on Wednesday evening.

The police arrested Vijay, 21, of M.G.R. Nagar, and Dhanush, 21, Kaviperarasu, 21, and Bharath, 20, from Jafferkhanpet.

The police said Hemachandran, 22, of Nesapakkam, was riding a two-wheeler with his friend along R.K. Shanmugam Road in K.K. Nagar, when Dhanush hit their vehicle from behind. This led to an argument, following which Dhanush called his friends and assaulted them. Vijay attacked Hemachandran with a wooden stick, and all four fled the scene.

Hemachandran was admitted to the Government Royapettah Hospital.
