As many as four pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh were killed in a fatal road accident that occurred near Etturallupadu of Kotabommali mandal of Srikakulam district on Sunday (November 23, 2025).
According to the police, the van in which they were travelling hit a stationary lorry, leading to the ghastly incident. The police officials shifted the bodies to the Kotabommali hospital and informed their family members about the incident.
The deceased were identified as Singh Pawar (60), Kushal Singh (62), Vijay Singh Tomar (64) and Santoshi Bhai (62).
The passengers had darshan of important temples located in Madhya Pradesh and Odisha before leaving for darshan of temples such as Simhachalam, Srisailam and others in Andhra Pradesh. The police personnel registered a case against the lorry driver who had parked the vehicle on the road.
