Four tiger cubs belonging to the tigress captured in Gowdanakatte village in Hanagodu range at Hunsur around midnight on November 27 were successfully secured in the same area during an operation by the Forest Department on November 30.

After receiving information about their presence in the same area, the offices and staff of the Forest Department divided themselves into different teams to trace the cubs.

During the search, one tiger cub was spotted at 10.49 a.m. in the farmland of one Ravikumar in Gowdanakatte village. Subsequently, as the search continued around the same area, three more cubs were found at 11.35 a.m. “Thus, a total of four tiger cubs were safely captured,” stated the Deputy Conservator of Forests, Hunsur division.
