Four supporters of the TVK party were arrested for allegedly assaulting a YouTuber outside a cinema hall at Vadapalani in Chennai after accusing him of uploading videos critical of the party leader and actor Vijay.

The victim, Kiran Bruce of Mugalivakkam, told police that he was attacked on November 21, 2025 after stepping out of a theatre where he had watched a film. He said the men confronted him over his videos, threatened to kill him, and mocked him, saying YouTube “pays only ₹200” for such content.

Based on his complaint, Vadapalani police reviewed the incident and traced the four suspects, who were found inside the theatre and detained them. They were identified as Balakrishnan, Dhanush, Ashok, and Parthasarathy — all residents of Avadi and known Vijay supporters. They were booked under sections for obscene language, assault, causing injuries, criminal intimidation, and disturbing public peace.
