The Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) has rolled out a major upgrade to its e-khata system by integrating it with the Urban Property Ownership Records (UPOR) city survey maps and drone-based overview images.

This will make property records in Bengaluru more accurate, transparent and easier to verify, officials said.

Special Commissioner (Admin, Revenue and IT) Munish Moudgil said, “The new system combines all key property details in one place including ownership documents, photographs, tax information and exact GPS coordinates.”

“We depend on accurate GPS mapping to match every property with the correct UPOR map and drone image. It is a painstaking work, but it ensures reliability,” he said.

Under the new integrated system, each e-khata now includes owner information and photograph, property details and photograph, exact GPS location, digital map of the property along with the location image, property tax and usage information, Bescom meter number and document number showing how ownership was acquired.
