GCC plans ₹14.03 crore project to erect 3D and stainless-steel shelters across Chennai

The Greater Chennai Corporation plans to install 77 new bus shelters in six months at a cost of ₹14.03 crore. The Corporation has set a six-month period for completing the work from the date of handing over each site.

The allocation for Zones I and III includes twelve 3D shelters and three stainless-steel shelters at ₹1.78 crore.

Nine 3D shelters and six stainless-steel shelters have been set for Zones II and III at ₹1.82 crore.

Eight 3D shelters and four stainless-steel shelters are planned for Zones IV and V at ₹1.45 crore, while Zones VI and VIII will receive eight 3D shelters and three stainless-steel shelters at ₹1.24 crore.

Seven 3D shelters and three stainless-steel shelters are listed for Zone VII at ₹1.20 crore.

Eight 3D shelters and four stainless-steel shelters are planned for Zone IX at ₹1.45 crore. Six 3D shelters and two stainless-steel shelters are to be installed in Zone X at ₹96 lakh, with the same quantities and cost specified for Zone XI.

Eleven 3D shelters and four stainless-steel shelters are proposed for Zones XII and XIII at ₹1.68 crore. Ten 3D shelters and four stainless-steel shelters are planned for Zones XIV and XV at ₹1.49 crore.
