Family members of a girl have complained to the police that she suffered regular sexual assault from her lecturer.
The police have registered a case under the PoCSO Act against M. Nageshwar who works in a private college in Belagavi district.
He lives in a rented room, the police said.
He was forcing students to have a live-in relationship with him and “acts as he pleased”.
He threatened them with public insults and that he will murder their parents, if they were to reveal the incident to anyone.
He sexually assaulted several girls repeatedly over a period of two years, the complaint said.
Investigation is on.
