The idol of Goddess Padmavati Ammavaru was carried on ‘Surya Prabha Vahanam’ and ‘Chandra Prabha Vahanam’ on Sunday, the seventh day of the ongoing nine-day ‘Karthika Brahmotsavams’ at Tiruchanur.

The goddess seated on a celestial carrier resembling the sun came out of Vahana Mandapam to bless the devotees in the morning. Led by caparisoned elephants, horses, bulls and bhajan troupes, the procession carrying the goddess marched sswiftly on the roads.

In the evening, the idol was carried on ‘Chandra Prabha Vahanam’, representing the moon. The goddess was seated on a silver-coated halo to indicate the moon’s rays.
