Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar will inaugurate the conclusion of the diamond jubilee year of the Welfare Services Ernakulam (Sahrudaya) at the Renewal Centre in Kaloor on November 25.
Major Archbishop Mar Raphael Thattil will preside over the programme. The Governor will inaugurate the project on constructing 60 houses as part of the diamond jubilee year and release the souvenir on the occasion, according to a release.
Bishop Thomas Chakiyath, Fr. Anto Cheramthuruthi, Sr. Alice Lukose, and Fr. Jose Koluthuvellil will attend.
The Welfare Services Ernakulam coordinates the charity and social initiatives of the Archdiocese of Ernakulam-Angamaly. Several projects that included self-employment, housing, rainwater harvesting, programmes for the differently abled, and energy conservation initiatives were launched over these years, it said.
