The State government has cleared incentives worth over ₹100 crore for Information Technology (IT) and Electronics companies, according to Sreedhar Kosaraju, Chairman of the APDTI Network, on Monday.
Speaking to The Hindu on November 10, Mr. Sreedhar said that nearly ₹60 crore of the total amount has been earmarked for IT firms alone. The clearance covers about 50% of the pending incentive claims that had earlier been uploaded to the Comprehensive Financial Management System (CFMS). The remaining amount is expected to be released in the next tranche, he added.
Mr. Sreedhar said IT entrepreneurs were grateful to the State government for addressing their concerns and extending timely support to the industry. They also appreciated the efforts of the ITE&C Department and the Economic Development Board (EDB) teams in facilitating the process.
