HYDERABAD
The State government has constituted a six-member committee chaired by the Principal Secretary (Energy) to oversee the tender and bid evaluation for the on-grid solar electrical power connections in 9,937 government schools across the State.
According to a GO issued on Friday, the Telangana Renewable Energy Development Corporation (TGREDCO) would carry out the work of design, supply, installation and commissioning of the on-grid solar power systems in 9,937 government schools along with five-year comprehensive maintenance contract with an amount of ₹289.25 crore.
The committee would oversee finalisation of the tender bid document, monitor the bid evaluation process and accord approval for issuance of letters of intent to the successful bidders. The committee would comprise Principal Secretary (Finance), Chairman and Managing Director of the TGSPDCL, State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan and Vice Chairman and MD of TGREDCO as members.
