The Gujarat government on Thursday (November 27, 2025) began its three-day ‘Chintan Shibir’ in Dharampur, where Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, State Ministers and senior IAS officers are taking part in a series of brainstorming sessions.

This is the 12th edition of the conclave, held on the theme “Samuhik Chintan thi Samuhik Vikas taraf” (from collective thinking to collective development). According to an official release, the sessions will focus on adopting a governance model that is more sensitive, technology-driven and transparent.

The ‘Chintan Shibir’ is a recurring exercise of the state government, organised every two to three years to outline long-term development priorities. The initiative was started in 2003 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he served as Gujarat’s Chief Minister.

On Thursday morning, the Chief Minister, Ministers and senior officials travelled from Ahmedabad to Dharampur by the Vande Bharat Superfast Train. The meetings are being held at the Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram near Dharampur.

Around 240 senior government officials are expected to participate in the three-day event to chart a future development roadmap for the State, the release said.
