Aahwahan Foundation, in partnership with BDO Rise Pvt. Ltd., on Thursday launched its annual Happiness Kit Programme in Hyderabad, an initiative aimed at providing essential educational supplies to more than 10,000 underprivileged children across India. The launch in the city marks the beginning of this year’s nationwide rollout, with over 1,000 students in Hyderabad set to receive the kits.
The programme, which has been implemented various states including Karnataka, Noida, Delhi, West Bengal, Odisha, Kerala and Punjab, seeks to ease the financial burden on families by supplying children with all the materials required for a full academic year. Each kit contains notebooks, pens, pencils, colours, geometry boxes, school bags, sweaters, water bottles, tiffin boxes and other basic study items.
Senior representatives from both organisations attended the event in Hyderabad. Aahwahan Foundation’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Braja Kishore Pradhan, and the Director of BDO Rise were present to inaugurate the programme and encourage students. Speaking at the launch, Mr. Pradhan said that every child carries a dream and that no dream should fade due to a lack of basic tools.
