A 39-year-old woman head constable was robbed of 10 grams of her jewellery while she was returning from work at Erikuppam village near Arani town in Tiruvannamalai.
Police said that head constable K. Sarathi, 39, was returning from work alone on Arani – Santhavasal Main Road when two persons on a two-wheeler snatched her silver chain. Before she could respond, the suspects fled the spot. The incident occurred around 8.45 p.m. on Thursday. Immediately, she alerted the local police. A case was registered by Kalambur police. A probe is under way.
