Head constable suspended after arrest for house-trespass

A head constable from Kadaba police station was suspended following his arrest for alleged unauthorised entry into a house and assault of an inmate in the house in Koila village in Kadaba taluk on Wednesday night.

According to officials, complainant Babu Gowda heard a sound and rushed to the house of his brother Harish, where the inmates had caught hold of an intruder. The intruder assaulted Gowda’s relative Chetan while trying to run away. Gowda and other family members managed to catch hold of the intruder and handed him over to the Kadaba police.

The police said that it was later found that the intruder was head constable Raju Naika. Based on the complaint by Gowda, Naika was arrested and booked for the offences under Sections 329 (3), 115(2), and 331 (6) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. He was later produced before the Magistrate.
