A screening and awareness camp was organised at Devarayaneri by the medical team from BHEL Tiruchi jointly with the Primary Health Centre, Thirunedungulam, as part of the Jan Jatiya Gaurav Varsh Pakhwada (Tribal Pride Year Fortnight Campaign) on Wednesday.
The programme included a basic health check-up and screening camp for members of the Narikuravar community. Participants were provided with health supplements and deworming medicines.
Awareness sessions were conducted focusing on health, hygiene, and the importance of education. Doctors addressed key topics such as hand hygiene and sanitation, immunisation for women and children, the ill effects of excessive screen time, nutrition, and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle.
