The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) has forecast that heavy rain is likely to occur at isolated places over Tirunelveli, Ramanathapuram, Thoothukudi, and Kanniyakumari districts on Wednesday (November 12, 2025).

Light to moderate rain is likely to occur at a few places over south Tamil Nadu and at isolated places over north Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal. The rain is likely to be accompanied with thundershowers and lightning at one or two places.

Meanwhile on Tuesday, light rainfall occurred over a few places in the State. Observatories at Valparai recorded 0.8 mm, Ooty 0.6 mm, 0.6 mm Salem, Adirampattinam 0.2 mm, Meenambakkam and Nungambakkam recorded traces of rainfall. Thirupathisaram in Kanniyakumari recorded 15 mm of rain, Nagercoil 1.5 mm, Anna University 1 mm, VIT Chennai campus in Chengalpattu district recorded 2.5 mm, and Mailam 1 mm.
