The Rachakonda Police have prepared an extensive security plan for the Telangana Rising Global Summit to be held in Maheshwaram and Mirkhanpet on December 8 and December 9, with a three-tier cordon, more than a thousand CCTV cameras and nearly 2,500 personnel on the ground.

Rachakonda Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu reviewed the arrangements with Rangareddy District Collector Narayana Reddy, TGICC MD Shashank, Maheshwaram DCP Narayana Reddy, Water Works MD Ashok Reddy and senior traffic officers. The meeting focused on the support required between the police and the summit’s organising committee, covering logistics and coordination expected for a high-profile international event.

Officials said the scale of the summit requires deployment from Law and Order units, Traffic Police, Special Branch, Intelligence, Octopus, Greyhounds and dog and bomb squads. Arrangements for barracks, food facilities and sanitation for the deployed forces were also finalised.

Around 600 representatives from international investment bodies, multinational corporations, major Indian companies and industrial houses are expected to attend, along with nearly three thousand support staff. A three-tier security cordon will be placed around VIP and VVIP delegates, with more than a thousand CCTV cameras covering key stretches in and around the venue. All footage will stream to the central police control room for real-time monitoring.

About a thousand traffic personnel will manage diversions, barricades, route planning and parking. Traffic marshals will regulate vehicle movement to prevent congestion, while police presence along all major routes will be tightened. Road diversions will remain in place for the general public for two days. For the safety of women entrepreneurs, speakers and investors, a specialised wing led by the Women’s Wing and She Teams has been set up.
