Minister for Home V. Anitha reviewed the security arrangements in the view of upcoming CII Partnership Summit scheduled to be held in the city on November 14 and 15. She conducted a video conference from Nakkapalli in Anakapalli district with senior police officers and enquired about the safety measures being taken as part of the event.

She directed the authorities to make foul proof arrangements as Vice President, Governor, Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, Union and State Ministers will be attending the programme along with National and International delegates.

The Minister said that entire city should be kept under continuous surveillance through drones and CCTV cameras. The Fire Safety and SDRF teams should be kept on standby, she added. She also emphasised the need to keep a close watch on misinformation or fake news on social media and to maintain effective coordination among all departments. She also stressed on the need to inform the public about the traffic diversions and restrictions well in advance.
