The Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly’s Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) has directed the Andhra Pradesh Medical Services and Infrastructure Development Corporation (APMSIDC) to immediately submit all pending annual audit reports and financial statements from 2014 onwards.

Committee Chairman Koona Ravi Kumar issued the instructions during a review meeting held at the Guntur District Collector’s office on Tuesday.

Expressing concern over delays, Mr. Ravi Kumar said public sector undertakings (PSUs) must function with transparency and accountability, ensuring timely completion of audits every financial year. He warned that officials responsible for lapses would face action and ordered the submission of pending audit objections without delay.

During the review, the Committee also examined the functioning of the AP Forest Development Corporation, AP Aviation Corporation, and AP Airports Development Corporation.

The Chairman questioned why the Forest Development Corporation failed to submit data for the past eight years and instructed it to strengthen eco-tourism projects under the PPP model.

APMSIDC Managing Director Gireesha informed the Committee that the corporation was executing 293 projects worth ₹14,820 crore, with works worth ₹3,947 crore already completed.

The Committee, which has so far reviewed 30 of 182 State enterprises, reiterated that each PSU must maintain precise statistics, audits, and annual reports to enhance efficiency and revenue generation.
