The ‘Hyundai Hope for Cancer’ initiative of the Hyundai Motor India Foundation (HMIF) and IIT-Madras has reached over 11,000 individuals so far.

HMIF, the CSR wing of Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) collaborated with IIT-Madras and launched this initiative in September 2025, according to a press release.

Puneet Anand, assistant vice-president and vertical head, corporate affairs, Corporate Communication and Social, HMIL, said, “With a commitment of ₹56 crore, including a dedicated ₹3 crore cancer care fund, HMIF is working towards building equitable access to early detection, research, treatment and community reach, and the efforts have already touched over 11,000 lives so far.”

Till date, 109 cancer awareness and screening camps were organised across Tamil Nadu, benefiting 11,095 people, the release said.

A fully equipped cancer screening vehicle visited 17 districts in Tamil Nadu. There are plans to expand to Maharashtra and Haryana as well, it added
