“I am not an ascetic to say I don’t want to be a Minister,” Congress MLA Laxman Savadi, who was Deputy Chief Minister earlier, has said.
He told reporters in Athani on Friday that he is an aspirant for Ministership in the next round of expansion.
“I cannot say that I do not want to be a Minister. I am not an ascetic who has renounced earthly wants. I really want to be a Minister and serve my people. But then, it is the party high command that will take the final decision in such issues. Cabinet expansion will be decided when the high command and the Chief Minister discuss it,” he said.
To a query, he said that there is a strong possibility for Cabinet expansion after the Winter Session of the State Legislature.
“I do not think there are any developments going on around these issues as of now,” he said.
