
Twenty Point Programme chairperson Lanka Dinakar and NTR District Collector S. Lakshmisha jointly conducted a review meeting with departmental officials on Health and Medical Services, AMRUT 1.0 and 2.0, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Surya Ghar, and PM KUSUM schemes at the Collectorate in Vijayawada on Saturday.

Every official must strive to achieve Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s goal of Swarnandhra, said Lanka Dinakar, chairperson, Twenty Point Programme.
He was speaking at a review meeting, conducted jointly by him and District Collector G. Lakshmisha, with departmental officials on health and medical services, AMRUT 1.0, AMRUT 2.0, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Surya Ghar and PM KUSUM at the Collectorate in Vijayawada on Saturday (November 8).
He reviewed key initiatives including Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY), Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK), Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and rural and urban potable water supply schemes under Jal Jeevan Mission and AMRUT. He gave directions on required action plans to ensure continuous progress. He also stressed proactive implementation of the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
Addressing the media after the review, Mr. Lanka Dinakar said under Janani Suraksha Yojana, from April 1 till date, 1,685 beneficiaries in rural areas and 924 beneficiaries in urban areas have received financial support.
Under the PM National Dialysis Programme, medical services are available at 20 centres in the district, including those at Jaggayyapeta, A. Konduru, and Tiruvuru. Expansion of services at A. Konduru is under way, he said, adding that JSSK is ensuring free nutrition, medicines and medical tests for mothers and newborns.
To eradicate anaemia among children and pregnant women, Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Health and Education departments are working in close coordination, he said.
Under Ayushman Bharat — PMJAY and Dr. NTR Health Services, ₹58 crore-worth healthcare services was provided since April 1, he said, adding that there are 28 vehicles of 108 services and 21 vehicles of 104 and 20 of 102 services.
He suggested continuous monitoring and coordination to reduce 108 ambulance response time. He noted that 104 vehicles are delivering services twice a month in every village.
A review was also conducted on Siddhartha Medical College development works. Under PM Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), ₹150 crore is being spent on establishing super-specialty services and infrastructure, which are in the final stage. Research departments are working on 17 different projects. Nearly ₹9 crore is estimated for completion of the auditorium, he said.
Under AMRUT 1.0, works worth ₹100 crore are nearing completion in the municipal corporation limits. He also instructed officials to prepare plans for future drinking water requirements. He directed officials to speed up implementation of the PM Surya Ghar scheme. He said that a separate review on the education sector of the district will be conducted soon.
District officers from all departments took part in the review meeting.
