Income Tax officials plant 2,500 saplings in Madurai district

Pratap Singh, Director General, (Investigation), The Department of Income Tax, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, planted saplings in Austinpatti and a few other places in Madurai district as a part of Swachh Bharat Mission here on Tuesday.

According to a press release, the officer was accompanied by Karun Kanth Ohja, Principal Director (Investigation), S. Michael Gerald, Additional Director, Suresh Guduri, Joint Commissioner, among others.

The IT officials said they had planted 2,500 saplings in Austinpatti, Vedarpuliankulam and Madakulam under the micro forest project of the National Rural Development Agency programme.
