India and Israel have taken a significant step forward in strengthening their long-standing defence partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Defence Cooperation during the 17th Joint Working Group meeting held in Tel Aviv on Tuesday (November 4, 2025).

The meeting was co-chaired by Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Defence Major General (Res) Amir Baram.

The MoU provides a unified framework and policy direction to further collaboration across multiple domains, including strategic dialogues, training, defence industrial cooperation, research and development, Artificial Intelligence (AI), cyber security, and technological innovation, the Ministry of Defence said. It aims to facilitate co-development, co-production, and sharing of advanced defence technologies between the two nations, it said.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed ongoing initiatives and acknowledged that India and Israel have mutually benefited from their cooperation. The delegations discussed potential areas for future collaboration to bolster technological capabilities and operational preparedness.

They also reaffirmed their joint commitment to combat terrorism and address shared security challenges, underscoring the deep mutual trust and shared strategic interests that continue to define the India-Israel defence relationship.
