The 11th edition of the joint military exercise between India and Sri Lanka, Mitra Shakti 2025, will start at the Foreign Training Node in Belagavi on Monday.
The primary objective of the exercise, which will go on till November 23, is to enhance operational synergy between the Indian and Sri Lankan armies in conducting joint operations in urban and semi-urban environments, said a press release from the Additional Directorate-General of Public Information (ADGPI), Indian Army.
According to ADGPI, this collaborative exercise will highlight the shared commitment of both nations to regional peace and security, while also aiming at strengthening defence cooperation and further solidifying the strategic partnership between India and Sri Lanka, said the press release.
