Disruptions in flight services continue to leave travellers stranded for the third consecutive day in Kerala as IndiGo, India’s largest airline, grappled with service disruptions for the third straight day in the State on Friday (December 5, 2025) due to an operational breakdown.

The airline has cancelled two inbound flights to Thiruvananthapuram from Pune and Bengaluru, and six flights, including arrivals and departures, remain delayed for hours, triggering fresh chaos for passengers in airports in the State.

Around 10 domestic and international flight services of Indigo Airlines to and from the Thiruvananthapuram airport were also delayed on Thursday. Eight domestic services and two international services were delayed with the delay ranging from 30 minute to 4 hours.

The three other airports in the State also face similar crises as the software advisory first issued by the airlines has now spiraled into a full-blown crisis.

Meanwhile, the airlines extended an apology to its customers and industry stakeholders who have been impacted by the disruptions. IndiGo teams are working diligently to reduce the cascading impact of the delays and to restore normalcy, it said in a statement.

“We continue to keep our customers apprised of any changes to their scheduled flights and advise them to check the latest status at https://www.goindigo.in/check-flight-status.html before heading to the airport,” it said.

With the disruptions continuing, authorities have arranged additional seating for passengers and deployed extra manpower to manage the situation, said airport authorities in Thiruvananthapuram.
