The Indrakeeladri Parirakshana Samithi expressed its appreciation for the temple management’s decision to prioritise common devotees in darshan arrangements at Kanaka Durga temple. In a statement released on Tuesday, Samithi convener Nagalingam Shivaji thanked the temple trust board chairman and executive officer for their “devotee-friendly” reforms.
According to the Samithi, the temple authorities facilitated ‘antaralayam’ (inner sanctum) darshan for devotees who arrived for ‘Dharma Darshan, ensuring that common pilgrims received prominence during their visit to Goddess Durga’s sanctum. The Samithi described the move as a welcome step and urged the management to continue the practice regularly.
The Samithi leader also highlighted its ongoing efforts to promote ‘Sanātana Dharma’ among Harijan and Girijan communities through dedicated outreach and religious awareness programmes. Mr. Shivaji appealed to the temple authorities to introduce more such reforms in the wider interest of dharma protection and to strengthen traditional values.
