Industrial push: Naidu launches 4 projects, sets stones for 10 virtually

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday virtually laid the foundation stones for 10 projects and inaugurated four others in Visakhapatnam and Anakapalli districts from Prakasam.

In Visakhapatnam, the district administration set up a venue for the event at APIIC Industrial Park in Peda Gantyada. Among the key projects, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a flatted factory complex, covering 27,600 sq ft with electrification and fire protection system at Mudasarlova under the Micro and Small Enterprises Cluster Development Programme (MSE-CDP) scheme. The project will facilitate the development of 175 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) industrial parks, one in each assembly segment of the State. The existing park is spread over an area of ​​2.18 acres in Visakhapatnam East assembly segment and its construction has been approved at a cost of ₹14.85 crore (70% A.P. government and 30% Centre).

A similar project (23,800 sq ft) was laid at a cost of ₹15.20 crore in Visakhapatnam West Assembly segment, spread over 1.45 acres in Venkatapuram village of Gopalapatnam in the city.

The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for the construction of a private industrial park in the name of M/S J Kumar Infra Projects Limited on 63.37 acres in Gurrampalem, under Pendurthi Assembly segment. The venture with an investment of ₹ 237.71 crore is estimated to generate 5,000 jobs.

This apart, the Mr. Naidu inaugurated M/S Avanti Warehousing Services Private Limited set up on 16.47 acres at Gurrampalem with an investment of ₹114.37 crore. He also inaugurated a flattened factory complex (2,800 sq ft) spread over 1.22 acres in the Industrial Park at Peda Gantyada falling under Gajuwaka assembly segment developed at a cost of ₹8.14 crore.

The Chief Minister also virtually participated in a programme organised by the Anakapalli district administration. District In-charge and Excise Minister Kollu Ravindra participated in person. The Minister said that the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone and inaugurated nine projects worth ₹3,922 crore in the district itself creating employment opportunities for about 4,500 people.

Mr. Naidu inaugurated the ATC Tyres AP Private Limited Phase-3 unit with an investment of ₹700 crore and Laurus Labs with an investment of ₹706 crore. He laid the foundation stone for seven projects worth ₹1175 crore, including the Laurus Bio Private Limited Bulk Drug Project with an investment of ₹573 crore.
