The Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Implantologists (AOMI), a Hong Kong–based international organisation specialising in advanced dental implantology, conducted its first international surgery workshop in Chennai from November 3 to 6.
The programme was hosted in partnership with Rajan Dental Institute. A press release issued by the institute on Friday said Piet Haers, president of AOMI, inaugurated the workshop. He emphasised the importance of continuous professional training in advancing patient care standards worldwide.
The training featured live surgical demonstrations, case planning, and hands-on sessions guided by faculty including doctors Gunaseelan Rajan and D. Senthilnathan. It showcased various innovations in implant dentistry.
