Odissi exponent Sujata Mohapatra during a show at the Jipmer-SPIC MACAY Heritage Club recently.
The Jipmer-SPIC MACAY Heritage Club hosted an Odissi performance by the prominent exponent, Sujata Mohapatra. Jipmer said the artiste — who is a recipient of more than 20 awards, including Sangeet Natak Akademi Award and the Degree of Doctor of Literature (Honoris Causa) from Fakir Mohan University in Odisha,— showcased the beauty of classical Indian art through her grace and artistry during the show. Jipmer Director Vir Singh Negi said that through its heritage club, the institution has been hosting cultural shows, to foster creativity and calm in young minds.
