Indrakeeladri witnessed a massive turnout of devotees on Sunday as Ayyappa and Bhavani followers from across the two Telugu States thronged Sri Kanaka Durga temple to offer prayers and participate in special rituals.

Temple authorities reported that the surge in visitors began early in the morning. To manage the crowd, all vehicles were controlled from the Ghat Road Om Turn, with One Town police coordinating parking from Kummaripalem Centre to the toll gate. Devotees, including the elderly, differently-abled, and mothers with children, were provided free transport using battery-operated vehicles.

The temple implemented 500 darshan queue lines, streamlining the flow of devotees to ensure timely access to darshan. Alternate routes were also set up at the lift pathway near Maha Mandapam to prevent congestion. For security, staff monitored bags and luggage, directing devotees to use the cloakroom to prevent any disturbances inside the temple premises.

A large number of devotees participated in ‘Arjitha Sevas’, including ‘Surya Upasana’, ‘Chandi Homam’, and ‘Laksha Kumkuma Archana’, while the temple ensured the distribution of free ‘prasadam’ and ‘annaprasadam’ to all visitors.

In a related announcement, the temple authorities stated that online booking system for darshan, Arjitha Sevas, prasadam, and accommodation, can be accessed via the official website www.kanakadurgamma.org and WhatsApp. Devotees using online bookings will be provided special queue facilities to ensure a smooth and convenient experience.

Temple authorities urged devotees to take advantage of the online services to avoid long waits and enjoy a safe and organized darshan.

Executive officer (EO) V.K. Seena Naik emphasised that the temple management was committed to the comfort and safety of all devotees and encouraged participation in upcoming special events, including the ‘Indrakeeladri Giri Pradakshina’ scheduled for December 4 at 5:55 a.m..
