The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will launch an outreach programme among Muslims to dispel any fears the community may have about the party, party State president Rajeev Chandrasekhar said here on Friday. He accused the Congress and the  Communist Party of India (Marxist) of fomenting misleading narratives among minority communities.

Mr. Chandrasekhar said the Union government’s message of ‘with everyone, for everyone’s development’ would be shared with all. The Prime Minister’s greeting card would be delivered to the homes of those who had completed the Haj pilgrimage. “The aim is to tell everyone that it’s a party that works for the benefit of all sections. The campaign is not aimed at fooling the people…. but the intent is to burst the lies spread by the Left Democratic Front and the United Democratic Front over the past 20 years,” he said.

BJP State vice-president Abdul Salam said the outreach activities were designed to strengthen faith among Muslims in the BJP. House visits would be organised to create awareness about the welfare schemes implemented by the Union government for all sections of society.
