‘King’: Akshay Oberoi confirms being part of Shah Rukh Khan’s actioner

Actor Akshay Oberoi will be seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming actioner, King. Akshay recently confirmed his involvement in the Siddharth Anand directorial, which also stars Deepika Padukone, Jaideep Ahlawat and Suhana Khan in pivotal roles.

Akshay has previously collaborated with Siddharth on his 2024 aerial-actioner, Fighter and the 2020 OTT show, Flesh, which was backed by the filmmaker.

Speaking about being part of the film, Akshay said that “it’s a dream come true” for him. “Growing up, Shah Rukh Khan has been one of my biggest inspirations not just as an actor, but as someone who redefined charisma and hard work in Indian cinema. To be a part of a film that stars him feels surreal,” said the actor in a statement.

He added, “When Siddharth called me to be part of this magnum opus, I had to jump in and immediately said yes. My association with him is truly special. I’m soaking in every moment and learning as much as I can from him on set.”

King is set to be released in theatres in 2026

Akshay was last seen in Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic-comedy, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
