‘Kodi’ Suni’s mother approaches Kerala HC, seeking his transfer to Kannur prison

The mother of Sunilkumar, alias Kodi Suni, who has been serving life imprisonment for the murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) leader T.P. Chandrasekharan in 2012, has approached the Kerala High Court, seeking a directive to the authorities to shift him from a prison in Malappuram to the Kannur Central Prison. She made the demand citing her deteriorating health which makes it difficult for her to travel from Kannur up to Malappuram to see her imprisoned son. She said she had not met him in the past 13 years. The matter has been posted for hearing on November 18.
