Kovai.co, a bootstrapped IT company, to invest ₹220 crore in Coimbatore

Kovai.co, a bootstrapped software company employing close to 200 people in Coimbatore, is looking at $25 million revenue from its flagship knowledge management platform Document360.

Saravana Kumar, founder and CEO of Kovai.co, told The Hindu that the product that currently has close to 1,500 live users has almost 50 new AI features added in the last two years. “We are making more investments to have more AI in Document360. Since 2019, the company has invested $40 million to $50 million in building the product. Kovai.co will invest $14 million during the next three years across geographies it operates, including ₹220 crore in the Coimbatore research and development hub,” he said.

The product is expected to bring in $25 million annual revenue by 2028 from the current $10 million. Coimbatore will be the central hub for advanced engineering, AI development, and talent scaling.

Turbo360 is another product that the company is focusing on and is targeting annual revenue of $10 million from it in another three to four years. “We are investing in Turbo360 too,” he said.

Mr. Saravana Kumar said the company does not have any plans for raising funds in 2026 and is not looking at acquisitions in the immediate future. The company’s annual revenue has crossed $20 million, he said.
