In a bid to enhance passenger comfort, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will start offering complimentary light snack kits featuring Nandini products to all passengers travelling on its Flybus airport services from Wednesday, November 12.
Minister for Transport Ramalinga Reddy will launch the new service at Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport.
The KSRTC officials said that the initiative is designed to provide travellers with a flight-like experience while also supporting the Karnataka Milk Federation’s popular Nandini brand.
The Flybus service, which operates luxury airport shuttle buses, connects Bengaluru Airport with major cities and towns including Mysuru, Mangaluru, Madikeri, Manipal, Udupi, and Kundapur.
Previously, the KSRTC provided drinking water bottles to passengers on its premium buses. However, in October 2019, the corporation discontinued the use of single-use plastic bottles, coinciding with the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, to promote environmental responsibility.
In addition to the snack kit initiative, Mr. Reddy will also flag off a new Flybus service connecting Davangere to the Kempegowda International Airport on the same day.
